SAN MATEO, Calif.— California Water Service (Cal Water) announced today that Ross Moilan has been selected as the District Manager of the utility's Bayshore operations. Moilan has been with Cal Water for more than 20 years and has extensive hands-on knowledge of district operations and water systems.
Moilan started his Cal Water career in the company's Rancho Dominguez District in 1996 as an Operation Maintenance Worker and was promoted to a Certified Pump Operator, Superintendent, General Superintendent, Assistant District Manager, and Stockton District Manager, before becoming the Director of Customer Service for California Water Service Group.
Moilan holds Water Treatment Grade Three and Water Distribution Grade Five certifications from the State Water Resources Control Board.
"Ross' previous Cal Water field roles, coupled with his experience managing the company's customer service teams statewide, give him a unique set of skills to lead the district well," said Director of Field Operations and former Bayshore District Manager Darin Duncan. "Ross will ensure our Bayshore District customers continue to receive the same excellent level of quality, service, and value that they deserve."
Cal Water serves about 194,903 people in Bayshore through approximately 52,000 service connections in San Mateo, San Carlos, and South San Francisco. The company, which has provided water service in the area since 1931 was ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Water Utilities in the West" in 2016 by J.D.
