Evan Markey Officially Selected as Local Manager for Cal Water's Willows District
WILLOWS, Calif. — California Water Service (Cal Water) has named Evan Markey as the permanent Local Manager for the utility's Willows District. Markey, who has served as Willows' Interim Local Manager since May 2017, has been with Cal Water for 10 years and has extensive hands-on knowledge of water distribution, operations, and treatment systems.
Markey started his Cal Water career in utility's Chico District as a Laborer and has since worked as an Operation Maintenance Worker, Meter Reader, Conservation Coordinator, and Superintendent. Markey has Water Treatment Grade Two and Water Distribution Grade Three certifications from the State Water Resource Control Board. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Already involved in the local community, Markey currently serves as secretary for the Willows Rotary Club and is looking forward to getting even more involved with local organizations in the months ahead.
